Work Crew:
It's not often in life that we get to
evaluate our purpose,
map out our future and reflect on our past. As a month-long volunteer on work crew at a Young Life camp, you'll have the chance to grow personally and spiritually — you'll be surrounded by other people from all over the world who, like yourself, really want their lives to count for something and
who desire to serve as Jesus did thousands of years ago.
Work crew is the volunteer experience for those in high school. To be eligible, you must have completed one year of high school and complete your local area's work crew training course. The work crew serves the campers in a variety of ways like dining hall servers, grounds crew and housekeepers.
How to Apply:
- Work Crew applicants must be recommended by local area Young Life leaders. To apply for Work Crew, please contact Matthew VonStein, Area Director, mvonstei@gmail.com 717-873-6802
Volunteering at Camp:
Young Life camps depend on an army of volunteers to ensure that campers have the best week of their lives. For high school students involved with Young Life, month-long work crew assignments involve hard work, a great experience with peers and a chance to grow in your faith. Summer staff positions offer the same opportunities for college students. And our infirmaries depend on the generosity of doctors who spend a week serving as camp physicians.
YoungLives camps for teen moms and their children and Capernaum camps for kids with disabilities both offer unique volunteer opportunities as well.
